We would like to welcome the Wendy
Lou Hunting Reserve to our Hunts page on our website, Located in Hico, Texas 6
miles East of Dublin. We visited this 4500 acre ranch and we have to say what a
classy operation! They provide you with a True Tex-African hunt. The quality on
this ranch is absolutely amazing! They have two lodges that are fit for king.
The Lookout Lodge smells of cedar as soon as you open the door. When it
comes to cleanliness I was totally impressed. The Creek Cottage provides a calm
feeling with the surrounding woods and careening river. The little meadows that
surround this cottage are full of game and on the day we visited we saw a couple
jaw dropping native whitetails.
Their
native and exotic animals roam freely over varying habitats of grassland,
riverine areas, pecan groves and bushlands so your hunt will be tough and
challenging. The reserve is home to native Whitetail Deer, together with Exotic
Antelope and Deer including Red Deer, Fallow Deer, Axis, Impala, Black Buck,
Eland, Springbok, Kudu, Waterbuck, Blesbuck and Gemsbok as well as Zebra.
I can truly say
that I have visited many ranches around the US and I can say with confidence you
will not be disappointed. The Wendy Lou Reserve will exceed your expectation for
